Research opportunity - development of evaluation tool for postgraduate supervisors
27 Aug 2008
Invitation to tender
Tenders are invited for a project to develop a web-based feedback system for the evaluation of the effectiveness of postgraduate medical supervisors.
From January 2010, educational supervisors in the UK will be required to be selected for their role on the basis of their ability. In the London Deanery, this will require engagement in a portfolio system of re/accreditation with evidence required to support applications. The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board trainee survey provides a certain level of detail on the quality of supervision but, at best, only down to the level of a given department. An evaluation tool will therefore provide useful additional feedback to individuals on their supervisory abilities as well as providing evidence to support any accreditation process.
