The London Deanery has developed some guidance on a minimum training specification for clinical and educational supervisors.
As a result of funded initiatives and submitted bids, Trusts should now be setting about building a database of the development needs of medical educators and designing local faculty development programmes.
The training specification attached outlines the areas in which the London Deanery would expect its clinical and educational supervisors to be trained. These recommendations build on previous advice and are accompanied by indicative training times for course planning purposes.
