The London Deanery is pleased to announce the appointment of its first five Fellows in Medical Education.  These unique posts offer an exciting opportunity for Specialty Registrars to develop their experience and skills as medical educators. The Fellowships consist of an out of programme experience for a period of 6 months attached to an ‘education unit’ within a London NHS Trust.  The posts provide Fellows with regular Trust-based teaching activities, monthly seminars at the London Deanery, attendance/teaching on London Deanery faculty development courses, financial support for a Masters programme in education and a designated educational mentor. The posts also include one day per week clinical training in the specialty of the applicant’s choice.  An advertisement for the next intake of Fellows - September 2008 - will appear later this month.
