We are delighted to announce a joint one-day Deanery and ASME symposium taking place on Thursday 25 March 2010.  The event will take place at the BMA on Tavistock Square and will explore strategies for leadership development across the continuum of healthcare professional education; undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development.  The programme will run from 09.30hrs until 17.00hrs and issues to be covered during the symposium will include;

• what educational strategies are effective in developing clinical leadership capability?
• what is the evidence that leadership development makes a difference to performance, either of individuals, groups or organisations?
• how can we engage healthcare and educational organisations in supporting and promoting clinical leadership development?
• how can we collaborate to develop leadership teaching and training capacity?
