360 leadership feedback: are you curious?

16 Oct 2009

The gift to see ourselves as others see us? Many of us would rather not take the risk of a 360 feedback, fearing some degree of criticism and discomfort. But this is not the usual outcome. The NHSLQF 360 is a very useful exercise that explores the gap between our intentions at work and the perception of our colleagues. In most cases, participants are pleased (and relieved!) to get unexpectedly constructive comments about their professional behaviours which form an excellent base for career and leadership development.

One of London Deanery’s Associate Directors, Sue Morrison, is a trained NHS LQF 360 facilitator and we are pleased to be able to offer a free facilitation service for all those in leadership and management positions on behalf of the organisation.  This would include Training Programme Directors, Directors of Medical Education, Postgraduate Education Centre Managers, Primary Care Tutors and Associate Deans and Directors.

Further details:
This comprehensive 360' feedback tool is based around the NHS leadership framework and details can be found at: www.nhsleadershipqualities.nhs.uk

The cost of undertaking the questionnaire (to be borne by the individual) is currently only £45.  On completion of the on-line instrument, please contact Sue at sue.morrison@londondeanery.ac.uk  who will arrange to go through the results with you.  The detailed facilitation process takes approximately 2 hours and is entirely confidential.
