Issues/Principles
- Do you take this at face value?
- Do you observe/investigate further first?
- Could this be discrimination in the other direction (leaner to patient)?
- What is the organisation’s approach to this?
- What support/strategies/guidance can you offer to the trainee on how to challenge any inappropriate behaviour?
- You have a duty of care to this trainee to ensure they do not experience harassment or discrimination in the learning/work environment. This should be your priority.
