• What is the organisational guidance regarding trainee sickness and managing this positively?
• What reasonable adjustments can be made to assist this trainee in the short/medium and long term?
• What support does the trainee want from you and your colleagues?
• At what point do you need to consider referral of studies and how is this communicated to the trainees?

• Your organisation will seek to be supportive to all trainees around health issues in line with their requirements under the Equality Act and related organisational policies.
