E-Learning for Clinical Teachers

About us

The Faculty Development unit  of the London Deanery was established in 2007.  The unit aims to support the Deanery in pursuit of educational excellence by:

• developing the educational expertise of the Deanery’s faculty of educators
• producing a range of targeted educational resources for clinical teachers
• promoting educational research in postgraduate medical and dental education

A large number of faculty development initiatives are already in train which can be viewed on this website.

Dr Tim Swanwick is Director of this core London Deanery workstream and is assisted by Samantha Hobbs, Faculty Development Manager, and members of the Faculty Development team. Faculty development is overseen by a steering group representing all areas of deanery activity, primary and secondary and dental and encompasses a range of activities across all departments.  The Faculty Development unit is based at Stewart House and can be contacted at the address below:
